Photoelectric sensors use a beam of red or infrared light to detect an object, which makes them a good alternative to proximity sensors for long sensing distances. With through-beam, retro-reflective, and diffused sensing modes, photoelectric sensors provide numerous mounting options and flexibility for object detection.

In addition to object detection there are several application specific sensors available that measure or detect:

  • Distance
  • Transparent objects
  • Colors
  • Color Contrast
  • Luminescent materials

Control Components is pleased to offer you the full line of Balluff, Yamatake, IDEC, and Pepperl Fuchs photoelectric sensors. No matter what your application, we can assist you in selecting the right photoelectric sensor.
